Joe Wilson, Vice President

Joe Wilson is Vice President of Cobb Information Systems and oversees staffing, operations, and development projects done in our offices.  His emphasis is on delivering high-quality solutions on time and within budget.  Mr. Wilson brings fifteen years of experience in the information technology field to CIS, and has managed successful projects for several large organizations, such as 3M, Dell, TXU, and JC Penny.

Joe graduated Cum Laude with a BA from Southwestern University in Georgetown in 1991.  He started his career at the Texas Education Agency as a statistician and quality control analyst, eventually getting promoted to systems analyst.  After five years at the state, Joe was ready to work in the private sector and got a consulting job with GE Capital Consulting (now Metamor Enterprise Solutions) for a year before joining Cobb Information Systems in 1998. Mr. Wilson's development skills have changed to keep pace with the market, going from Microsoft Access to Visual Basic and ASP, and now to C#, ASP.NET, Web Services, XML, and SQL Server.

Joe and his wife Darien have two children, Zoe and Clark. In his free time, Joe follows UT basketball and works with his wife on her baby sling business.
