Seton Health Network
Problem
Seton Health Network, a network of hospitals and clinics in Austin, needed a way
to track avoidable days, or days staying in the hospital that could have been avoided,
in an effort to improve its quality of service. The system had to allow for remote
data entry at the different locations and had to provide for multiple report aggregations
for analysts.
Solution
Cobb Information Systems, Inc. built an Access database for Seton that duplicated
paper forms that were previously used and allowed remote data to be entered from
each of the clinics and hospitals in the network. The system provides several reports
used by analysts and management to improve quality of care.
